What this edition changed

Incorporated the Neos Covenant, added a binding Sunset Clause, extended the price hold to twelve months, and made the Terms one-way — rights can be strengthened, never weakened, for existing accounts.

The Neos Covenant was incorporated into these Terms by reference. A binding "Continuity and source release (Sunset Clause)" section was added, committing to release the source under an OSI-approved licence if we shut down, are acquired and then discontinue the product, or stop maintaining it. The price-change section was rewritten so that a subscriber active when a price change is announced keeps their price for at least twelve months regardless of billing interval, with a thirty-day email as the notice floor. The "Availability and changes" section now treats discontinuing the Service as a sunset trigger with advance notice and an export window. The Scale support commitment (one business day, in writing) was published, alongside the statement that every plan reaches the same people. Finally, the change-of-terms clause was made one-way: the Sunset Clause, the no-escalator and price-hold commitments, and your export and cancellation rights can be strengthened at any time but never weakened for an existing account.
