Two things, and only two. Their free plan is one user — the moment a second person shares a link you are on Teams at $12/seat/mo, where ours includes a shared team link for 3 hosts free. And round-robin is $8/seat/mo here against $12 there, with branding removal at $5 against $12. Everything else on this page, they do better or they do and we do not.

No. Cal.com went closed-source in April 2026; the previously open code was spun out as the Cal.diy community fork. If open source was your reason for choosing them, that reason no longer applies to the hosted product — which is worth knowing whichever tool you end up on, including if you stay with them.
No, and we are not going to claim a virtue we do not have. What we do commit to is narrower and in writing: if we stop operating the service, the code is released. That is a promise about the failure mode people actually fear — the tool disappearing — rather than a licence badge. It is in the covenant.
Often, yes. If you need a mobile app, a browser extension, payments, Salesforce or HubSpot sync, SMS, routing forms, an API, or SOC 2 and HIPAA paperwork, they have all of it and we have none of it. Their free tier for a single person is genuinely excellent. Use us if you are a small team that mainly needs booking links and round-robin, and would rather not pay $12/seat/mo for the parts of a larger product you will not touch.
Cal.com's free plan is single-user, so the moment a second person needs to share a link you are on Teams at $12/seat/mo. For a five-person team that mainly wants one shared link, that is the whole difference — and for a team that wants routing forms and a CRM sync, their price is the fair one and ours is irrelevant.
