My invitees see no available times
The six real causes of an empty booking page, in the order they occur, and how to confirm which one you have.
An empty booking page is almost never a bug. Neos Meet only offers a slot when it can prove you are free, and it deliberately shows nothing rather than risk selling a time you can't honour. This page lists the six real causes, most common first, with the symptom that distinguishes each one.
1. No calendar is connected
Symptom: the page has never shown times, on any event type, since the account was created.
This is by far the most common cause. Signing in with Google does not connect your calendar — it is a separate grant. Without one, Neos Meet has no way to know whether you are in a meeting, and it will not guess. Every slot is withheld.
Fix: connect a calendar in Settings. Times appear immediately. Full instructions →
2. The calendar connection has broken
Symptom: the page worked and then went empty, with no change to your hours.
If the Google grant is revoked — from your Google account's permissions screen, by an admin policy, or because the connected calendar was deleted — the free/busy query starts failing. Neos Meet fails in the safe direction and treats you as unavailable for the whole window rather than assuming you are free.
Fix: in Settings, disconnect the calendar and reconnect it. Confirm at your Google permissions page that access is still granted.
3. Your schedule has no open hours
Symptom: empty across all dates, and the availability editor shows few or no enabled days.
- Every weekday unchecked means nobody can book you — the editor warns about this when you save.
- A window shorter than the meeting produces nothing. A 60-minute event type cannot fit in a 12:00–12:30 window, so that day stays blank.
- Buffers count too. A 30-minute meeting with a 15-minute buffer either side needs a clear hour, not thirty minutes.
Fix: open Scheduling → Availability and widen the hours, or reduce the duration and buffers on the event type.
4. Minimum notice is hiding the near-term
Symptom: today and tomorrow morning are missing, later dates look normal.
Every event type has a minimum notice — the gap between now and the earliest bookable slot. It defaults to 240 minutes (4 hours), which is why a page created this morning shows nothing until this afternoon. If someone set it to 1440, the whole of tomorrow disappears too.
Fix: in Scheduling → Event Types, open the event type, show the scheduling limits, and lower Min. notice.
5. The booking window is too narrow — or you are looking past it
Symptom: near dates work, distant ones are empty; or the whole page is empty and the booking window is set to a small number.
Bookable days ahead caps how far into the future the page runs. It defaults to 60 days. Set it to 7 and nothing beyond next week will ever appear, however free you are.
Fix: raise the value on the event type. If you deliberately keep it small, remember that a person who books quarterly will find the page empty when they check early.
6. Timezone confusion
Symptom: times exist, but at hours nobody would take — or you are certain you are free and the page disagrees.
Your hours are stored as wall-clock time in the timezone set on your availability page. If that timezone is wrong — a laptop set to a different region when the account was created, or a move you never updated — your 9:00 is a different instant from the one you mean, and every slot shifts with it. Meanwhile invitees see slots in their own browser timezone, so a page that looks strange to you may be perfectly ordinary to them, and vice versa.
Fix: check the timezone selector at the top of Scheduling → Availability first, before adjusting any hours. Then re-test in a private window. More on timezones →
Team links have two extra causes
A host with no connected calendar
Each host is evaluated independently, with the same rule: no calendar, no slots. On a round-robin link that quietly shrinks the pool; on a collectivelink it empties the page completely, because a host whose availability is unknown can never be part of an "everyone is free" intersection.
Fix:the Teams page shows each member's setup status. Chase anyone who has not finished, or switch the link to round-robin while they do.
Pending invites are not hosts yet
Someone who has been invited but has not accepted, signed in, and connected a calendar contributes nothing. Invitations sitting unopened are a common reason a new team link looks broken on day one.
If none of these fit
It is also worth checking that the event type is still Active, and that your calendar genuinely is as clear as you think — all-day events and events you have merely been invited to can be marked busy depending on your Google Calendar settings.
Beyond that, email us. Include your booking link, the event type, and the specific date the invitee tried to book, and we can trace it.
If the times on offer look shifted rather than missing, the cause is usually timezone conversion rather than availability. How timezones work in scheduling tools explains what each side of a booking is actually seeing.
